CHICAGO – The National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers has declared September Appraiser Education Month. Renowned for its top-notch appraiser education courses, NAIFA is encouraging all appraisal professionals to attend one or more continuing education courses during this month.

“Our local chapters are thrilled with the opportunity to educate members and nonmembers alike about new and exiting business practices, form updates and other industry-relevant topics. Since September has traditionally been a ‘back to school,’ month for most, we hope appraisers are motivated in a similar fashion, said Laura J. Rudzinski, Executive Vice President. “Continuing education is essential to maintaining prestigious designations like the IFA, IFAS, IFAA and IFAC, and state licensure. Our courses have repeatedly met the needs of designated and licensed appraisers for more than 40 years,” she continued.

NAIFA is hosting a contest for chapters who host the most qualified courses during the month. Prizes include a congratulations plaque for the chapters as well as being recognized as the Chapter of the Month for October. Additionally, the winning chapters will be spotlighted in all member communications as well as on the website for the entire month.

The National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers was founded in 1961 as a non profit professional association of real estate appraisers. Today, our Association has chapters through¬out the United States, Mexico, Canada, and we continue to grow both in number and stature.

The Association's objectives are to raise the standards of the appraisal profession, gain recognition for its members as qualified professionals, and to promote fellowship among appraisers. For more information, please visit www.naifa.com.
