Member Complaints

Filing a Complaint

Any complaint by a member or the general public shall be in writing and submit a detailed outline as to the nature of the complaint, including documentation and exhibits, if any. 

The said complaint shall be sent to:

National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers
Attn:  Professional Standards
330 North Wabash Avenue
Chicago, IL 60611

Upon receipt, the National Office shall forward the complaint to the Chairperson of the National Professional Standards Committee, who shall review the said complaint for probable cause. If the Professional Standards Committee finds no probable cause, the complaint subject to review by the Board, shall be dismissed. If the Committee finds probable cause, the complaint shall be marked with a case number, and the Chairperson shall advise the affected member as to the nature of the complaint, and may request the Chapter President or the appointed Chapter Professional Standards Committee to conduct an investigation and/or hearing prior to preparing a Chapter Summary Report complete with all pertinent facts including any relevant testimony or documentation such as the detailed written response of the affected member and final recommendations to the National Professional Standards Committee to the case and matter.
