Yearly Dues Amount

Reciprocal Designation (ADP) Membership

Those who hold designations from: American Society of Appraisers, American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, International Association of Assessing Officers, International Right of Way Association, and Massachusetts Board of Appraisals are considered candidates for ADP. We require proof of current membership and proof of the designation/licensure to qualify.

Associate: Appraiser Membership

Persons engaged in real estate appraising but who are non-designated members shall be referred to as an Appraiser-Associate until such time an application for Candidate status is approved by the Admissions Committee. Each shall agree in writing, as evidenced by the signing of the official application form, to be governed by and uphold the Bylaws of the Association, its code of ethics, the lawful directives of its officers and directors, and comply with the Appraisal Foundation re-certification requirements.

Associate: Affiliate Membership

Associates are persons in fields related to real estate appraising but who are not practicing appraisers. The Associate may, at a later date, elect to become a candidate, and providing all membership criteria is met, elevate to a designated status.

Business Partner Corporate Membership

Business Partner Corporate Membership. This category includes corporations, businesses, vendors in fields related to real estate appraising, but who are not practicing appraisers. This category is not extended to individual persons.

Candidate Membership

An Appraiser member may apply for Designation Candidacy by completing the Board approved Experience Rating Form (ERF). The ERF shall be submitted to the Admissions Committee for approval into the Candidate Program. A Candidate shall have no voting rights on national issues, nor hold any national office in any capacity within the Association. Candidates may hold office on the chapter level and vote on chapter issues, only with the express permission of the designated chapter members.

Life Membership

Designated members in good standing may apply for Life Member Status under the following conditions:
  1. A minimum age of seventy (70). Proof is required by presentation of a certified copy of a birth certificate or other equivalent document.
  2. A minimum of twenty-five (25) years active membership in good standing.

Retired Membership

Designated members in good standing may apply for Retired Member Status under either of the following conditions:
  1. A minimum age of sixty-five (65). Proof is required by presentation of a certified copy of a birth certificate or other equivalent document.
  2. A notarized copy of a medical report signed by a licensed physician, stating that a permanent disability exists and its nature.
